Hi! As you have probably already guessed, I'm John Fregeau. I'm currently
a Chandra/Einstein postdoctoral research fellow doing theoretical astrophysics at
KITP-UCSB. I've worked mainly on the evolution of large-N things, like dense
star clusters, as well as small-N things like binaries in dynamical scattering
interactions. I've also worked a bit on the effects of stellar dynamics on the
evolution of planetary systems. I'm the author of "Fewbody," a widely-used numerical
toolkit for performing small-N gravitational interactions that you can download from my
code
page.
You'll also find on my code page some software I've written to produce random scores for
practice in sightreading on the guitar. Just give it a key and a position and you've got
a randomly generated score to practice!
