The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of theoretical/computational astrophysics at the Assistant Professor level. We seek outstanding individuals who will complement and expand the current research areas of the theoretical astrophysics group, including the formation and evolution of compact objects, dynamics of dense star clusters, high-energy astrophysics, relativistic astrophysics and gravitational wave sources, star and planet formation, and dynamics of extrasolar planetary systems.
Applicants should have a strong record of achievement in astrophysics research and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and outreach.
